Privacy Policy

Our Commitment to Privacy

At Tynko, we believe in minimal data collection and maximum user control. Your prompts and creative work belong to you, not us. This policy explains how we handle your data with respect and transparency.

Where Your Data Lives

Local Storage (Default)

By default, all your prompts and data are stored locally in your browser. We cannot access this data - it never leaves your device.

Cloud Storage (Optional)

You can optionally connect your own Supabase account or Google Drive. When you do, your data is stored in your cloud, not ours. You maintain full ownership and control.

Shared Prompts

When you explicitly share a prompt using our sharing feature, only that specific prompt is temporarily stored on our Supabase servers to generate a shareable link. Shared prompts are public and accessible to anyone with the link.

What We Collect

We collect the absolute minimum data necessary to provide and improve Tynko:

  • Account Information: Email address and authentication credentials (if you create an account for cloud sync)
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics to understand how features are used and improve the app
  • Technical Data: Browser type, device type, and error logs for debugging and performance optimization

How We Use Your Data

We use collected data exclusively to:

  • Provide and maintain Tynko's core functionality
  • Improve user experience and fix bugs
  • Send important service updates (if you have an account)
  • Analyze usage patterns to prioritize new features

We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you're in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR:

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
  • Right to Erasure: Delete your account and data
  • Right to Portability: Export your data in a portable format
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Opt out of analytics anytime

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure authentication (PKCE flow), and optional client-side encryption for sensitive prompts. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

Tynko may integrate with optional third-party services:

  • Supabase: Backend authentication and database (when enabled)
  • Google Drive: Cloud storage integration (when connected)
  • GROQ API: AI-powered formatting (when configured)
  • Vercel: HTML publishing service (when used)

Each service has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them if you choose to use these integrations.

Children's Privacy

Tynko is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. We'll notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Tynko after changes constitutes acceptance.
